SNG Backs Swindon Rugby Club with New Community Sponsorship Deal

Swindon Rugby Club has secured fresh backing ahead of the new season after housing association SNG announced a 12-month sponsorship agreement with the club.

The partnership will run throughout the 2026/27 rugby season, from September through to May next year, with both organisations saying the deal reflects a shared commitment to supporting the local community.

SNG, formerly Sovereign Housing and Network Homes, is currently delivering a number of housing developments across Swindon, including major schemes at King George Park and Wichelstowe.

Swindon Rugby Club says sponsorship support remains vital in helping the club continue to grow both on and off the pitch.

Chloe Beech, Sponsorship Co-ordinator at Swindon Rugby Club, said the partnership would help strengthen facilities, coaching and opportunities across the club.

“At Swindon Rugby Club, sponsorship is fundamental to our continued growth and success,” she said.

“The support we receive enables us to invest not only in our playing squad and coaching setup, but also in our facilities and long-term development as a club.

“It helps us create an inclusive environment where players of all ages and abilities can enjoy rugby, build confidence, and be part of a strong community.”

SNG says the sponsorship forms part of its wider focus on supporting communities where it builds and sells homes.

Sue Gallagher, Head of Sales at SNG, said sports clubs often played a central role in bringing communities together.

“We’re delighted to be offering our support to this brilliant local Swindon team for the upcoming season,” she said.

“Sports clubs are often the cornerstone of a community, and we know the importance Swindon Rugby Club holds to its members and residents.

“The club plays an important role in bringing the community together, and at SNG we’re passionate about supporting the communities where we sell homes.”

SNG is currently marketing homes at several developments across Swindon, including King George Park in Lotmead and the growing Wichelstowe development to the south of the town.

The housing provider says both developments are aimed at a broad range of buyers, with a mixture of apartments and family homes alongside access to green space and transport links.
