Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious injury road traffic collision in Highworth last night.
They were called to the A361, close to Crouch Farm, shortly after 7 pm yesterday.
A collision had occurred between a white BMW motorbike and a black Audi.
Both the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, and his passenger, a woman in her 50s, were injured.
The man was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with potentially life-changing injuries.
The woman was taken to Great Western Hospital by land ambulance for treatment for pelvic injuries.
The driver of the Audi was not injured.
The road was closed until around 4am this morning, to allow collision investigators to carry out their enquiries.
They would ask anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw either vehicle shortly beforehand, particularly anyone who might have dash cam footage, to call Wiltshire Police Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 54210060543.
