GEL Studios Announces Winners of 2025 ‘Win a Creative Solution’ Charity Competition

GEL Studios has revealed the winners of its annual ‘Win a Creative Solution’ competition, with three local charities set to receive a significant boost in 2026 thanks to the Swindon-based agency’s offer of high-value creative support.

The purpose-led agency invited community groups and charities to put forward their biggest creative challenges back in November—whether that involved a refreshed website, stronger marketing, or a much-needed brand overhaul. More than 1,600 members of the public stepped in to vote over the past fortnight, helping to decide which organisations would benefit from the £5,000 packages of support.

This year’s winners, chosen entirely by the community, represent three very different but equally vital strands of local support:

Your Holiday Starts Now

The Harbour Project, which works with people seeking asylum and refugees as they rebuild their lives in Swindon;

The Kelly Foundation, offering practical tools, counselling and guidance for adults facing mental health challenges;

and Teamability, a young Community Interest Company dedicated to disability awareness and inclusive education across schools and workplaces.

Each will now work alongside GEL Studios to shape a bespoke creative project in 2026—be that a new website, a design-led transformation, or targeted marketing support.

Representatives from all three organisations spoke about the difference the win will make.

Claire Garrett DL, Ambassador for The Harbour Project, said the opportunity arrives at a crucial moment.

“This is a meaningful moment for us. Working with GEL Studios will allow us to reframe our window to the world, break free from the stereotypes surrounding our work, and celebrate the people we support and their contribution to Swindon.”

For The Kelly Foundation, the benefits are also clear.
Chief Operating Officer Emma Rees said: “Our website is often the first place people turn when they’re in crisis. Being able to modernise it means faster access to support, clearer communication for funders, and a better platform for our community. It’s a huge step forward.”

Teamability’s co-founders, Becky and Abi, described their win as a powerful catalyst for growth.

“As a new CIC, we’re committed to building a more inclusive society. This support strengthens our visibility, helps us articulate our mission with clarity and creativity, and gives us the tools to reach more schools, businesses and funders.”

GEL Studios Managing Director, Graeme Leighfield, expressed pride in both the competition and the organisations involved.

“The support each finalist has received has been remarkable. We’re thrilled to be partnering with The Harbour Project, The Kelly Foundation and Teamability next year. Since January 2024, through our pro-bono work and partnerships across the charity sector, we’ve supported over 35 local causes—positively impacting 388,000 people. As we grow, so too does our ability to make a real difference. In 2026 and beyond, we’ll be investing even more time and creativity into projects that strengthen our communities.”

For a competition built on the idea of creativity serving the greater good, this year’s winners reflect exactly that spirit—local organisations using the power of design, storytelling and connection to improve lives across Swindon.
