Officers investigating an assault which occurred in Swindon during the early hours of this morning are appealing for witnesses.
At approximately 3.45am on Saturday 19 October, a 30-year-old man was walking from the direction of Fleet Street towards Manchester Road when he was approached by two men just after the bus stop on Manchester Road.
During the assault, the victim fell to the floor. The two offenders were then joined by two other men, and they all continued to assault the victim by kicking him to the head and body. He sustained injuries to his knees, arms and hands.
The four offenders are all described as being aged between 18 and 25. One is described as white, of average build, approximately 5 ft 7 inches tall, with dark hair which was longer on top. He was wearing a black hoody and jeans.
Another is described as white, average build, approximately 5 ft 9 inches tall, with short dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and possibly had a silver chain around his neck.
We are keen to speak to a woman described as white, approximately 5 ft 6 inches tall, with long dark hair – she was wearing a dark vest, jeans, trainers and had a tattoo on her right or left upper arm. This woman may be able to help us identify those involved.
We’d urge anyone who was in the area who witnessed the assault, or any motorists – especially taxi drivers – who may have dash cam footage which could help our investigation, to get in touch via 101 and quote crime reference number 54190104198.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
