Two Men Charged Following Series of Burglary and Vehicle Theft Offences in Swindon

Two men have been charged with a string of burglary and vehicle-related offences following an investigation by Swindon CID.

Jamie Loveridge, 30, of no fixed abode, and Luke Cookson, 31, of The Crescent, Chiseldon, have both been charged with multiple offences linked to incidents across Swindon and Wroughton in recent months.

The charges include one count of burglary, one count of theft of a motor vehicle, one count of non-dwelling burglary and one count of attempted non-dwelling burglary.

Both men have also been charged with one count of attempted theft from a vehicle, three counts of vehicle interference and three counts of attempted dwelling burglary.

The pair appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 9 May, where they were remanded in custody.

They are next due to appear at Swindon Crown Court on 12 June.

Wiltshire Police said the charges follow a wider investigation carried out by detectives from Swindon CID into a number of reported offences across the area.
