With little over two weeks to go until the 2019 General Election you have just a few hours left to make sure you are registered to vote?
You have only got until midnight tonight to register at the ‘register to vote’ website.
Are you eligible to vote?
To vote in a general election, you must:
- be 18 or over on polling day
- be a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen (i.e. a Commonwealth citizen who has leave to enter or remain in the UK, or who doesn’t require that leave)
- be resident at an address in the UK, or a British citizen living abroad who has been registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years
- not be legally excluded from voting.
If you want more information about how to vote, once you have registered, then head on over to our guide on voting.
