Teenager arrested in connection with attempted robbery

Detectives investigating an attempted robbery on the Croft Trail in Swindon have arrested a teenage boy.

Following the recent witness appeal in relation to the incident on the afternoon of Saturday 26 October 2019, Police have received vital information from members of the public.

A 15-year-old local boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery, formally interviewed and has since been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.

Wiltshire Police are continuing to appeal for people with information to come forward.

The first suspect is described as white, in his late teens, over 6ft tall, with a young face and bushy eyebrows. He was wearing a black North Face jacket and light blue denim jeans which were elasticated around the ankles. He was also wearing white Nike trainers.

The second suspect was also white and of a similar age, but was shorter – around 5ft 9ins tall. His hair was shaved at the sides and short on top, and he was wearing a green bomber jacket and dark jeans and trainers. He also had a tattoo on his hand.

Both men spoke with local accents and the one wearing the black jacket was carrying a kitchen knife.
