Shoppers attempting their Christmas shopping this morning have been left out in the cold as alarms ring out across the town centre.
From Wharf Green all the along to the Parade and all of the Brunel Shopping Centre in between alarms could be heard ringing in each retail unit.
The fire curtains were lowered within the main shopping centre but it is not believed to be anything but a false alarm.
