Police appeal after cyclist knocked off their bike on Bruce Street

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision last Tuesday where a vehicle failed to stop.

At approximately 5.30 pm it is reported that a cyclist has been knocked off their bike by a white Range Rover Evoque on Bruce Street, Swindon, following an alleged altercation at the traffic lights outside of the Co-op on Rodbourne Road.

The cyclist, a man in his 20s, suffered minor injuries which have not required medical attention while the driver of the Range Rover drove away from the scene without exchanging details.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of failure to stop after a road accident and attempt to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and has since been released under investigation.

They are appealing for witnesses of any interactions between the cyclist and the driver of the Range Rover leading up to this incident, including any dash cams that may have captured the incident and any businesses on Rodbourne Road that may have CCTV that could aid officers.
