Police appeal after 11-year-old boy approached in supermarket toilets

Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a couple believed to have been trying to lure a young boy to their home to see their pet cat.

On Thursday March 1st at the Morrisons store on Dorcan Way at around 1.30pm, the male in the picture below approached an 11-year-old boy in the store toilets, inviting him back to his house to see his pet cat.

The boy declined and left the toilets.

PCSO Charlotte Windle said: “We’d like to speak to the couple in the images.

“This could have been an innocent remark made by the man, however it does seem a little odd which is why we need to identify him and the woman he was with.

“If you recognise either person or know anything about this incident, please contact me.”
