Yesterday saw a new record set in the fight against Covid-19 with more than half a million people in England receiving a Covid-19 vaccine.
NHS England data released today has confirmed a total of 8,251,146 people in England have now received at least the first dose of a Covid vaccine, an increase of 549,943 on the Friday’s figures.
Five in six people aged 80-years-old and above have now received a vaccine in England
Throughout England five out of every six people aged 80-years-old and above and three of every five 75-79-year olds have been vaccinated with every person living in a care home being offered the vaccine according to government minister Liz Truss.
Across the UK the combined daily figure was 598,389, with a total of 8,977,329 first doses and 491,053 second doses.
