A man in his 40s has died following a collision on the A4361 near Wroughton.
Emergency services were called to Salthrop at around 6.50pm on Wednesday, 21 May, after reports of a crash involving a Jeep and a motorcycle.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics.
Wiltshire Police confirmed officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team attended the incident and enquiries are continuing.
The A4361 remained closed for several hours while collision investigators carried out examinations at the scene, with traffic diverted through surrounding villages during the evening rush.
Police have not released any further details about the man involved but said specialist officers are supporting his family.
Officers are now asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or drivers who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash, to get in touch.
