A man has been jailed after a police pursuit in Swindon led to the discovery of drugs and thousands of pounds in cash.

The case began at around 3.40pm on 10 March, when officers from Wiltshire Police identified a vehicle suspected of links to organised crime. The car was spotted on the White Hart roundabout by a neighbourhood policing officer, prompting a short pursuit.

The vehicle was followed to Station Road in Chiseldon, where the driver abandoned it and attempted to flee on foot. He was tracked through nearby gardens and arrested shortly afterwards.

A search uncovered more than £5,000 worth of cocaine, over £1,000 worth of cannabis and £3,650 in cash.

Following an investigation by the local neighbourhood policing team, Dragjoshi was charged and later convicted.

Neighbourhood Inspector Loz Copeland said the outcome reflected ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related crime in the area.

“This is an excellent result following a proactive investigation by our local team,” he said. “Targeting drug supply remains a key priority, and this case shows the impact of that work in protecting the community.”

Police say action against drug networks will continue as part of wider efforts to disrupt criminal activity across Swindon.
