Swindon & Wiltshire Pride has unveiled the first act for its 2026 event, with pop star Nadine Coyle set to take to the stage this summer.
The singer, best known for her success as a member of chart-topping group Girls Aloud, will perform at the annual celebration when it returns to GWR Park on Saturday, 15 August.
Organisers made the announcement to coincide with the start of Pride Month, with further acts expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Nadine rose to fame as part of Girls Aloud, one of Britain’s most successful girl groups, whose string of hit singles and multi-platinum albums helped define UK pop music in the 2000s. The group went on to win a BRIT Award and sold millions of records during their career.
Pride organisers say festival-goers can expect a set featuring some of the band’s biggest hits alongside material from Nadine’s solo catalogue.
The announcement marks the first major booking confirmed for this year’s event, which is expected to attract thousands of visitors from across Swindon, Wiltshire and beyond.
Paul Stewart, Event Manager for Swindon & Wiltshire Pride, said organisers were delighted to secure the singer for the event.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Nadine to Swindon & Wiltshire Pride,” he said.
“She is a true pop icon, and her performance will be an unforgettable highlight for our community and visitors alike.
“This announcement sets the tone for what will be our biggest and most exciting Pride yet.”
Swindon & Wiltshire Pride has grown steadily in recent years and has become one of the largest community celebrations in the county, bringing together people of all backgrounds to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion.
The event returns to GWR Park for a third consecutive year in August and organisers are continuing to seek sponsors and supporters ahead of the festival.
More performers, attractions and event details are expected to be announced throughout the summer as preparations continue for what organisers hope will be the biggest Pride celebration the town has seen.
