Wiltshire Police have released a tribute from the family of Swindon man Daniel Conway, who died in a collision on the M4 in the early hours of Sunday morning. Daniel, aged 32, was a passenger in the vehicle. Another man remains in hospital with serious injuries.
Described by those closest to him as warm, funny and full of life, Daniel — known affectionately as Conway or Dan — leaves behind a heartbroken family who say their lives have “become darker without his light”.
In a statement shared through Wiltshire Police, they said:
“We are absolutely devastated at the loss of Daniel. He was a much-loved son and daddy, as well as a family member and friend to many. Daniel was known for his positive outlook on life, his infectious smile and how he was always able to make people laugh. He was always kind and had a beautiful energy around him.”
They added that the outpouring of messages, cards and support has been deeply appreciated, but have asked for privacy as they come to terms with their loss.
Police enquiries into the collision are ongoing.
