During this evening’s national address, Boris Johnson confirmed that the coronavirus vaccines will continue to be rolled out during the lockdown with a target to vaccinate all of those in England in the top four priority groups by the middle of February.
There are currently 13.9million people in England in the top four groups who will be administered one of the two vaccines currently available.
UK medicine regulator MHRA revealed the full list of who will get the vaccine first.
- Those in care homes
- The over 70s
- Health and care workers
- The clinically extremely vulnerable.
To date is is reported that 1million people have received the Pfizer vaccine with up to 2million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to be delivered on a weekly basis from this week.
