Aldi has extended a product recall over a number of Roosters chicken products over concerns they may contain salmonella.
The products concerned are:
- Roosters Southern Fried Poppin’ Chicken
- Roosters Breaded Poppin’ Chicken
The original recall covered products with a best before date of May 25th, 2022 however this has now been extended to ‘all batches and all best before dates’.

A statement from Aldi confirmed the products were being recalled, with customers due a full refund.
“We are recalling these products due to the possible presence of salmonella,” it said.
“Customers are advised not to eat this product and return it to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.”
