Stratton Juniors Football Club is delighted to announce the official commencement of the Weetabix Wildcats, a groundbreaking initiative generously funded by the FA.
This Weetabix Wildcats is specially designed to inspire and empower young girls aged 5-11, encouraging their active participation and love for football.
Scheduled to launch on Wednesday, 2nd August, the Wildcats programme will kick off from at 5pm at the Grange Leisure Centre.
Passionate about promoting football within the community, Stratton Juniors Football Club is eagerly looking forward to introducing girls-only training sessions. This exciting new endeavor reflects the club’s commitment to creating a dynamic and inclusive environment for girls to develop their football skills.
Located at the heart of Stratton, the club proudly upholds its ethos of providing ‘football for all.’ With over 200 players registered, Stratton Juniors Football Club offers a comprehensive pathway catering to players from as young as 4 years old to veteran football.
Looking ahead, their vision for the next five years is to establish an equally robust pathway dedicated solely to women’s football. This dedication to gender equality in football showcases the club’s forward-thinking and inclusive approach.
The Wildcats programme sets out to break barriers and challenge stereotypes, empowering young girls to embrace their passion for football with confidence and pride. The initiative aims to foster a love for the sport and create an environment where each participant can thrive, surrounded by like-minded individuals and dedicated coaches.
