Witness sought after pensioner knocked over by cyclist

A 60-year-old Swindon man has been injured after being in collision with a cyclist on Cheney Manor Road, Swindon.

Around 4pm on Sunday 11th March the man was walking on the pavement near his home when he collided with a male cycling on the pavement; this caused the man to fall and sustain a serious hip injury which required hospital treatment.

The cyclist did stop and gave his details.

PC Simon Talbot said:  “We’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen this collision on this Sunday – especially as it’s a busy main road and someone may have seen or heard this incident.

“We’d also like to speak to another male cyclist who was not involved but who stopped to help the injured pedestrian – if that was you, please come forward.”
