Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of criminal damage where a takeaway in Highworth had its windows smashed on Monday night.
At approximately 11.30 pm, it is reported that a man has gone to Kebria Tandoori on High Street with what is believed to be a baseball bat and smashed all four windows at the front of the property.
The man has then run from the scene in the direction of The Globe pub.
It is reported that the man was white, aged around 30 years old, approximately 5 foot 7 inches tall, and was possibly wearing a blue polo top and dark grey jogging bottoms.
PC William Saunders, of the Swindon Response Team, said: “Our investigations are at an early stage and while the motive is not known, it is very clear that this is a targeted attack.
“Fortunately, nobody was injured in this mindless incident, but the occupants would have been left shaken and this behaviour is completely unacceptable.
“We’d like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man matching the description or anyone acting suspiciously or with visible blood on them around the time of the incident.
“The man was said to have run from the scene on foot, so we’d also like to ask anyone in the vicinity that has CCTV or anybody who was driving in the area with dashcam footage to please contact us.”
