The newly paved footpaths are expected to be completed in the next few weeks and the new street lights which have been installed should be connected next week. There is currently a 24 hour road closure along Milford Street until tomorrow (18 May). While this is in place, no parking is allowed along Gloucester Street as a temporary order is in place to reverse the current one-way road.
Station Road will be closed from 9:30am – 4pm on Tuesday (21 May) so that the Council’s team can install new kerbing outside the Great Western Hotel.
There will also be overnight road closures on Station Road and Milford Street over the next few weeks to allow the contractor to complete the road surfacing.
Once the project is finished, cyclists, pedestrians and motorists should benefit from an improved, safer environment as they move between the railway station and town centre.
