Your Holiday Starts Now

“Our 28 year old lovable boy. Partner, Father, Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Uncle and Friend.

Luke is loved by many and has already left a huge hole in our hearts. He has touched our lives and created many happy memories that will be cherished and shared with his two beautiful children. He will be remembered for his cheeky sense of humour, his smile, hugs and love of bikes.

Luke is going to be missed so much it cannot even be described. Ride on Luke, with love from us all xx”

The driver of the Peugeot, a 24-year-old man from Swindon, has been arrested in connection with the crash and was released under investigation.

Floral tributes to Luke have been placed at the scene and a large number of people gathered there on Tuesday night to pay their respects, some of whom were riding motorbikes in the area. Officers attended in order to ensure safety in the area and make sure that the road was not obstructed.

Inspector Andy Bridge said: “Our thoughts are with Luke’s family and friends at this sad time. We appreciate that people will want to pay their respects at the scene and completely understand that emotions may run high. We are aware that large groups of people may want to gather there again and we want people to be able to pay their respects safely but to also bear in mind the wider community.”

Police are still appealing for any witnesses to the collision who have not already identified themselves, or who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision, to contact the Roads Policing Unit, on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
