McDonald’s have gradually been reopening its UK drive-thru restaurants this week after shutting down all sites due to the coronavirus lockdown.
Each day we receive messages from our readers asking the same question, ‘When will Swindon be reopening?’. Until now the answer has been the same, ‘we don’t know!’.
Well. if you are waiting to get your hands on a Big Mac and do not want to be driving out of town to do so, but instead will sit in a queue for an hour or so, then good news!
After spending a week testing its operations in the East of England, McDonald’s took to social media last week promising to have all 924 Drive Thru restaurants open by June 4th.
“We’re on our way back – all Drive-Thrus to reopen by 4th June”

This means that the Swindon locations should be open tomorrow from 11am.
Customers are encouraged to use contactless payment methods and cap your spend at £25 per transaction.
