A couple in India have named their newborn twins, a boy and girl, Corona and Covid.
Speaking to the Press Trust if India (PTI), they said the names, ‘would remind them about all the hardships they conquered amid the lockdown.’
The babies were delivered by cesarean in the early hours of March 27th due to complications. A spokesman for the Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital said both Covid and Corona are healthy and have now been discharged with their mother.
The couple from the city of Raipur have indicated that they might change their minds later and rename the children.
