Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, will once again be transformed into a glowing winter wonderland as Christmas at Westonbirt returns from 28 November to 31 December 2025.
This year’s illuminated trail celebrates the magic of nature, with breathtaking new installations inspired by wildlife, woodland, and the changing seasons — promising visitors an unforgettable festive experience.
✨ New Highlights for 2025

The Mycelium Network – Step into a luminous forest of colour-changing mushrooms and a fibre-optic display symbolising the hidden life beneath the forest floor.

Giant Wicker Woodland Animals – Encounter ten magnificent sculptures, including a badger, fox, stag, hare, pheasant, barn owl, hedgehog, red squirrel, and weasel, each beautifully woven into the landscape.

10 Neon Bird Boxes – Making their UK premiere from Australia, these glowing bird boxes illuminate the trees in a vibrant spectrum of colour.

Robins Trail (Il sentiero dei pettirossi) – A whimsical new addition by Italian artist Cristina Ottonello, celebrating the robin as a symbol of hope and renewal.

Bark Dancers – Eight figures crafted from bark appear to dance among the trees, reflecting the shapes and textures of the forest itself.

A Feast for the Senses
As guests wander through the mile-long illuminated route, they’ll be treated to sparkling light shows set to music, the scent of winter spices in the air, and opportunities to toast marshmallows over open fires. Hand-picked local food and drink stalls will offer festive treats and mulled delights to complete the experience.
