Motorists are advised to avoid Great Western Way heading west from Bruce Street Bridges as roadworks cause major delays.
As a consequence of these delays tail backs through Rodbourne are being reported as far back as Faringdon Road with the Rodbourne area currently at gridlock.
We have had one report this afternoon of the journey from the outlet village to West Swindon taking over an hour.
