Three men have appeared before the courts in connection with the Gorse Hill shooting which left a man with life-changing injuries earlier this summer.
The incident took place on 19 June in Gorse Hill, Swindon, when a man was shot and seriously injured. Wiltshire Police launched a major investigation, arresting eight people in the hours following the attack.
At Swindon Crown Court, Kyron Anthony, 20, of Milton Road, Swindon, pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A trial has been scheduled to begin on 2 November at Swindon Crown Court.
Dylan Anthony, 19, also of Milton Road, appeared charged with attempted murder. He is due to return to court on 28 August for a Pre-Trial Preparation Hearing.
Meanwhile, Peter Bullock, 51, of Queens Drive, Swindon, appeared charged with assisting an offender.
The court heard that Bullock is seeking to have the charge dismissed. A potential dismissal hearing has been listed for 24 September.
Of the eight people originally arrested during the investigation, two have now been released with no further action.
Three others remain under investigation after being released on police bail. They include:
- A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and being concerned in the supply of Class C drugs.
- A 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
- A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
Wiltshire Police say enquiries into the shooting are continuing.
As criminal proceedings are active, further reporting is limited to matters heard in open court, and all defendants are entitled to a fair trial.
