Swindon & Wiltshire Pride is set to return to GWR Park on 9th August, bringing with it the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the event. Organisers have announced that applications are now open for this year’s Pride Marketplace, offering businesses, charities, and organisations the chance to be part of the celebrations.
The Pride Marketplace will once again be a major feature of the event, showcasing a variety of stalls ranging from cold food and snacks to crafts, retail, and activities. National and local businesses, public services, charities, and other organisations are all invited to apply for a spot.

James Fraser, Marketplace Manager, said: “Our Pride Marketplace is a bustling hub at our free Pride event where a range of local organisations can promote their products and services while supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Feedback from last year showed just how much visitors enjoy this aspect of Pride, and we’re excited to build on that success for 2025.”
Last year’s Swindon & Wiltshire Pride welcomed over 10,000 visitors to GWR Park, and organisers are hoping for similar – if not bigger – crowds this summer.
Paul Stewart, Chairperson of Swindon & Wiltshire Pride, added: “As a charity, we’re at a really exciting stage of the year now as our plans for August start to take shape. We’re planning an even more vibrant and accessible event this year, with truly unforgettable memories as we celebrate how diverse Swindon and Wiltshire really is.”
Paul also highlighted that the Pride committee is expanding and currently recruiting for key roles, including:
- Event Coordinator
- Communications Manager
- Social Media Content Creator
- Deputy Community Engagement Manager
“If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to be part of Pride, now’s the perfect time to get involved,” Paul said.
Applications for the 2025 Pride Marketplace close on 28th April, with successful applicants notified in May. Those interested in applying can find more information at swindonwiltshirepride.org.uk/get-involved/marketplace.
