Swindon set to hit high 20’s as UK set for mini-heatwave

If you can get through the next few days of muggy weather you will be in for a treat next week with the Met Office promising clear sunshine with highs of between 25-28C.

With a mini-heatwave just around the corner it means June is likely to be Britain’s hottest on record for 42 years with some parts of the country expected to see temperatures peak at 30C..

This weekend is expected to be dry and sunny, although it won’t be particularly warm on Saturday with the temperatures peaking at 19C.

Temperatures are expected to start creeping up into next week. By Tuesday we should be  hitting 25C, warmer than parts of the Algarve are expected to be.

Wednesday is expected to be even hotter with 28C with some parts of the UK hitting 30C.

The Met Office’s recent three-month forecast suggests the heatwave will continue throughout the summer.

Today:

Expect it to be warm and humid with some sunshine with a possibility of rain this evening.

Tonight:

Rain will clear to the south of the UK leaving most areas dry, clear and cooler than recent days.

Thursday:

It is expected to be be a dry day with some sunny spells. Feeling warm in the sunshine but fresher than of late.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Largely dry throughout this period with light winds and some warm sunshine.
