Great Western Brick Show Returns to STEAM This Weekend

The biggest LEGO® show in Swindon is back! The Great Western Brick Show returns to STEAM – Museum of the Great Western Railway this weekend, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October, for two packed days of brick-building fun.

Now in its 22nd year, the much-loved event will, for the first time, take over the entire museum, filling every gallery and space with spectacular LEGO creations and activities.

Over 200 builders, traders and volunteers will bring the museum to life with more than 100 incredible LEGO displays — from detailed railway layouts and bustling cityscapes to spaceships, castles and fantasy worlds.

Visitors can also enjoy the return of the hugely popular Robot Battles, where LEGO robots go head-to-head in thrilling clashes. There will be a chance to get hands-on too, as guests can take control of their own battling robot in a special interactive challenge.

For younger fans, there’ll be plenty of creative play zones and brick pits for endless building, racing and experimenting with LEGO and DUPLO.

Those looking to expand their collections can browse a wide range of traders offering sets, rare collectibles, and unique gifts.

Councillor Marina Strinkovsky, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Placemaking and Planning, said:

“The Great Western Brick Show returns and it’s bigger than ever!

It’s a standout event on STEAM’s calendar, packed with glorious LEGO fun for all ages. There’s so much to enjoy for every builder — and it’s all set within the fantastic surroundings of the STEAM Museum. What’s not to love?”
