New Beginnings in Old Town: Chelle’s Brasserie Opens Its Doors on Victoria Road

Old Town is celebrating the arrival of a brand-new eatery today as Chelle’s Brasserie officially opens at the top of Victoria Road.

The café, which was formerly known as Jack’s Café, has undergone a stylish transformation under the ownership of The Guardians Group — the team behind popular local venues The Vault and the country music-themed Honky Tonk bar and nightclub near Regent Circus.

CEO Rob Firmin has renamed the café Chelle’s Brasserie in memory of his late mother, Chelle, who sadly passed away from cancer. The heartfelt tribute gives the venue not only its new name but also a meaningful story rooted in family and remembrance.

The rebrand is marked by elegant new signage featuring a light blue background and a white tree design, symbolising strength, growth, and connection — a fitting emblem for a place built on legacy and community spirit.

Opening its doors at 9am today (Monday, 6th October), Chelle’s Brasserie introduces a refreshed menu and concept, including a sandwich bar, takeaway options, and freshly brewed barista coffee — all designed to complement Old Town’s thriving food scene.
