Longleat is preparing for a baa-rilliant Halloween as Shaun the Sheep returns to the Wiltshire attraction with a brand-new family event inspired by his latest big-screen adventure.
Running from Saturday, 24 October to Sunday, 1 November, Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom’s Spooktacular Adventures will transform the estate into an autumn playground packed with giant pumpkins, themed activities and seasonal fun for visitors of all ages.
The event celebrates the release of Aardman’s latest film, Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, which arrives in cinemas on 18 September. The story sees Shaun take on the role of a mad scientist in a bid to save the flock’s pumpkin patch, with predictably chaotic and entertaining results.
At Longleat, visitors can follow a giant pumpkin trail, join in a lively Halloween Hoedown and enjoy a host of family-friendly activities inspired by the new film, with further attractions due to be announced ahead of the October half-term break.
Scott Ashman, Head of Operations at Longleat, said: “After the success of The Festival of Light in 2025, which featured many of the Aardman characters, we were delighted to build on that relationship and bring Shaun and the flock back to Longleat. We know just how very popular he is with our guests.
“‘Spooktacular Adventures’ will be a great seasonal event with lots of fun for all the family. There’s no better year for it than the 60th anniversary of Longleat’s Drive-Through Safari and Aardman’s 50th anniversary.”
The event forms part of Longleat’s autumn programme and is expected to be one of the attraction’s biggest family draws during the school holidays, combining Halloween entertainment with the much-loved charm of one of Britain’s favourite animated characters.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy Longleat’s famous safari, adventure attractions and grounds alongside the special Shaun the Sheep celebrations.
