There were celebrations at The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form in Wroughton as students collected their A Level and vocational qualification results.
The sixth formers, who attend the school as part of The White Horse Federation, are now preparing to take their next steps, with university places, apprenticeships and other opportunities awaiting them.
Among the individual successes were several particularly impressive results.
Farrleigh achieved four A*s and has secured a place at the University of Cambridge to study Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.
Adam also achieved four A*s and will head to the University of Oxford to study Mathematics.
Jacob achieved an A* and two As and will study English Language and Literature at Oxford, while Frances achieved an A* and two As and will study Chemistry at the University of Bath.
Evan achieved an A* and two As and will study Economics at the University of Bristol.
Katie achieved two As and a B and will study English Literature at the University of Sheffield.
Not every route after sixth form leads through a university lecture theatre. Paige achieved BBC and has secured a Business, Administration and Marketing Apprenticeship with Oak and Sprout Toy Company.
The school said the results reflected the hard work and commitment shown by students throughout their studies, including strong attendance, independent study, additional support and revision sessions, and a determination to overcome challenges.
Helen Buttery, Headteacher of The Ridgeway School, said staff were “exceptionally proud” of the students and thanked families for their continued support.
She also paid tribute to the school’s staff, saying they had helped students move on to “a range of exciting opportunities”.
Dr Dan Nicholls, Chief Executive Officer of The White Horse Federation, also congratulated the students and praised the commitment shown by both pupils and staff.
He thanked parents and carers for their support, adding that he was looking forward to seeing what the young people go on to achieve.
For the students celebrating today, the results mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, with destinations ranging from some of the country’s leading universities to apprenticeships and careers.
