Swindon Borough Council have announced that their contractor is continuing to excavate and lay block paving on the Town Centre side of Regent Circus. Block paving works will also soon begin on the MECA side where pedestrian access will be restricted at times.
Pedestrians will be encouraged to use the pedestrian crossing at Princes Street or follow the diversion signs via Clarence Street. Access to MECA will be maintained.
Overnight works will be taking place on Tuesday (11 Sep) after 8pm to allow the contractor to construct the new speed ramp and put down fresh road markings, this work will take place under lane closures to minimise disruption to road users.
