Red Sky Promotions has your summer entertainment sorted

Red Sky Promotions may have big ambitions but they are also locally focused and it is this combination of national attractions and community events brought to venues right on your doorstep which is filling a much needed gap in the community calendar. This new company already has a wealth of events lined up to take you through the summer from sport to music to talks to community events and more are being added to the list every week.

Football fans have the opportunity to spend an evening in the company of hell-raising legend Neil “Razor” Ruddock who concluded his long career as a player/coach at Swindon Town. This takes place at The MECA on 31st May. On 26th July the same venue will see Sir Geoff Hurst talking about his time playing for West Ham and England, relating stories about the game and life in general and of course that infamous hat-trick in the World Cup Final.

Those who wish to be a bit more hands on should be interested in both a one-off football tournament and a 6-aside league running through the summer too, there is still time to sign up for both.

Music is also well represented and both the iconic songs of the eighties and the soulful sounds of R&B are being brought to you in new and unique ways at The Old Town Bowl. On 29th June Back To The Eighties offers a day of that decades signature sounds brought to you via a classical orchestra and a brass band with DJ’s spinning the songs in their original form in between. The 20th July sees the same format applied to The R&B Music Festival, the perfect blend of sun, sass and soulfulness. At both events you will find no shortage of food, drink and local stalls as well as other fun and entertainment.

As the summer moves on The Polo Ground is the site for The Family Fun Day on 17th August which promises to be a great day out for all the family, featuring live music, local traders, fun entertainment for kids of all ages, food and drink and great activities all representing the local community.

On 24th August The Old Town Bowl will again be the place to be this time for Swindon’s Got Talent, a celebration of the town’s home grow talent and a chance to vote for and get behind the stars of the future. If you have a particular talent or know someone who does there is still time to send an audition clip to the organisers from which the final line-up on the day will be selected. All the details can be found on their website.

And with more events being added all the time it is worth keeping your eye on their events page for the full story and then heading over to the main website to secure your tickets.
