PR summit returning to Swindon after generating more than £1m in media value

A Swindon-based PR agency has announced the return of a business summit credited with generating more than £1 million in media value for its attendees.

Scott Media has confirmed that the No BS Media Summit will return in November, following the success of last year’s event which brought together business owners and senior journalists in a small, focused setting.

The 2025 summit saw five national journalists working directly with delegates, resulting in high-profile media coverage across print and digital platforms. Several attendees also went on to secure paid speaking opportunities and build long-term relationships with journalists beyond the event itself.

This year’s summit will take place over two days, on 10 and 11 November, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Swindon. The event will feature five journalists, including business writer John Boitnott, who will be travelling from the United States — marking the summit’s first international expansion.

Boitnott, who has interviewed hundreds of founders and operators across the globe, said preparation and access were key to meaningful media coverage.

He said: “The strongest stories come from founders who understand how to communicate their expertise clearly. That’s what sets the No BS Media Summit apart. I’m looking forward to coming to the UK to work directly with business owners and help them turn their experience into stories journalists want to run.”

The summit is designed to give delegates hands-on experience in pitching story ideas, understanding how PR works, and exploring how public speaking can support media visibility. Attendees will also have the opportunity to create professional assets such as photography for media kits and branding.

The event is hosted by Scott Media’s Managing Director, Fiona Scott, who will provide guidance throughout the two days alongside her team.

She said: “Access to national and international journalists who are genuinely open to hearing your story is incredibly valuable. Last year proved that when you create the right environment, the results can be exceptional.

“We’re confident we can repeat that success this November. Bringing the summit back to Swindon and welcoming an international journalist for the first time feels like a natural next step.”

Fiona also highlighted the personal connection behind the event’s expansion, explaining that she first met John Boitnott at an Oracle conference in Las Vegas in 2023, and that their professional relationship has grown since.

Places at the summit are limited to 35 delegates, with around half already taken. Further details and tickets are available via the Scott Media website.
