The countdown is on to one of the biggest community celebrations in Swindon’s calendar, with Swindon & Wiltshire Pride returning this Saturday, 15 August, for a free day of music, entertainment and celebration.
The annual event is expected to bring thousands of people into the town centre and GWR Park, with Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle among the headline performers.
Coyle will perform a selection of Girls Aloud favourites alongside material from her solo career, adding some pop-star glamour to a day which is ultimately all about community, inclusion and bringing people together.
The day begins with the traditional Pride March, with participants asked to gather from 11am in the public space outside Nationwide at 47 Regent Street.
The march will set off promptly at 11.30am, making its way through Swindon’s town centre before continuing to GWR Park, where the main celebrations will get under way.
The route is step-free, although some sections may have uneven ground. Organisers have also advised anyone who is sensitive to noise to consider bringing ear defenders or other suitable hearing protection, as the march can be lively and loud.
Those who would rather avoid the march can head directly to GWR Park, which opens at 11am. The first hour will be a quieter period, with reduced noise levels designed to provide a more relaxed environment for visitors who may prefer fewer distractions.
At midday, the Pride March will arrive at the park and the full entertainment programme will begin.
There will be performances throughout the afternoon across both the Main Stage and Community Stage, with singers, dancers and tribute acts providing plenty to keep the crowds entertained.
Main Stage highlights include The Spotlight Choir, The Harry Styles Show, Donna Marie as Lady Gaga and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Baga Chipz.
The Community Stage will showcase local talent and community performers, including North Star New Wave Sound Collective and Swindon’s own Chocolate Theatre.
Fans of The Great British Bake Off will also have something to look forward to, with former contestant Janusz Domagała appearing alongside event co-host Latina Ballroom. The pair will perform their new single during the celebrations.
Away from the stages, GWR Park will be packed with stalls offering food and drink, shopping, information from community organisations and dedicated youth spaces.
Families can also enjoy a circus experience and a selection of funfair rides, helping to make the event accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages.
And for those who still have some energy left after a full day of Pride, the celebrations will continue into the evening with the official Pride Afterparty at The Steam Railway pub in Old Town.
Hosted by Pride favourites Adam All and Apple Derrières, the evening will feature Kylie on Show and provide a chance to carry the celebrations on into the night.

With a packed programme, a major pop name on the bill and plenty happening both on and away from the stages, Pride 2026 promises to be another colourful and energetic day in the centre of Swindon.
