Mill Invisible Smart WiFi Panel Heater 1200W – Review

The Mill Invisible Smart WiFi Panel Heater 1200W is one of those products that doesn’t shout for attention but quietly makes life easier once it’s in place.

For the sake of transparency, the heater was gifted for review, but it’s been used properly day to day to see whether the smart features actually make a difference. The biggest plus by far is the app. Setting up a weekly heating schedule is refreshingly straightforward, and it’s easy to match temperatures to real routines rather than constantly fiddling with controls.

The heater itself is designed for rooms up to 18m² and does a solid job of delivering an even, comfortable warmth. Once mounted on the wall using the supplied bracket and fixings, it sits neatly and unobtrusively. The curved design and plain white finish help it blend in rather than looking like a bulky bit of heating hardware.

Where the Mill really stands out is the Mill Norway app. It’s quick to respond and simple to understand, making it easy to programme different temperatures for mornings, evenings and overnight. For anyone working from home or using rooms at specific times of day, this alone makes a noticeable difference. There’s also the option to adjust settings remotely and keep an eye on energy use, which is handy without feeling overcomplicated.

In everyday use, the heater does a good job of keeping temperatures steady. Mill’s predictive heating works quietly in the background, learning how the room warms up and adjusting output to suit. The result is fewer sudden temperature changes and less wasted energy. Eco mode and output limits add extra peace of mind for anyone watching the meter a bit more closely.

Mill claims energy savings of up to 30 per cent compared to traditional heaters. While that will always depend on how and where it’s used, the ability to fine-tune heating around a weekly routine certainly makes heating more efficient. It’s also worth noting how quiet it is, making it well suited to bedrooms, home offices or living areas where background noise would quickly become annoying.

At £158 from B&Q, it’s not the cheapest panel heater on the market. That said, with a strong customer rating and smart features that feel genuinely useful rather than tacked on, it comes across as a sensible long-term buy for anyone wanting more control over their heating.

Overall verdict:
A smart, well-designed panel heater that focuses on ease of use rather than flashy features. The app makes weekly scheduling simple, the heating is quiet and consistent, and it fits neatly into everyday life without fuss.
