Wednesday is expected to be dry and sunny for the whole day with temperatures peaking at 23C.

Thursday is likely to see some cloud cover and a high of 22C with Friday kicking off a glorious long weekend of weather bringing back the beautiful British summer.

Sun cream and sunnies are the order of the weekend with Friday and Saturday expected to reach around 25C before reaching 27C on Sunday and Monday.

The dry conditions are expected for the remainder of the month with a Met Office spokesperson commenting ‘For the remainder of July and into early August, warmer and drier conditions are most probable overall as it looks likely that high pressure will remain close to the UK.

‘There is also a continued risk of thundery inclusions into the south east and for spells of more unsettled weather in the north west. Temperatures also look to remain above average.’
