A man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to Whitworth Road, close to the junction with Cricklade Road, near the Moonrakers pub shortly before 6pm on Saturday evening (1 February).
Wiltshire Police say the collision involved a green Suzuki Vitara and a pedestrian, a man in his 60s. He was taken to hospital for urgent treatment, where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 70s, stopped at the scene and assisted officers. No arrests have been made.
Police are now appealing for witnesses as enquiries continue. Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision or who has dash cam footage that could help establish the circumstances.
Whitworth Road is a busy route linking residential streets with Cricklade Road, and police believe there may have been motorists or pedestrians who saw what happened but have not yet come forward.
