A man has been charged with several serious offences following a coordinated police operation in the Queen’s Drive area of Swindon on Wednesday (29 October).

Jack Parfitt, 24, of no fixed abode, has been charged with:

  • Aggravated burglary

  • Attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH)

  • Two counts of actual bodily harm (ABH)

  • Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine

Parfitt has been remanded into custody and is due to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (30 October).

A second individual, Tommy Belcher, 18, of Westbury Road, Penhill, has been charged with possession of cannabis. He has been bailed to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 20 November.

Two other individuals – a 40-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man – were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The woman has been bailed pending further enquiries, while the man has been released with no further action.

Detective Inspector Steve Edwards praised the teamwork involved, saying:

“This was excellent, collaborative work by various departments – including the Burglary Team, Local Policing Tasking Team, and several others – to conduct the operation and secure the charges against Parfitt.
