An independent Regulatory Commission has found Lee Power not guilty of all charges relating to alleged breaches of The FA’s Regulations on Working with Intermediaries. The case, which also involved First Touch Pro Management, Michael Standing, and Gareth Barry, centred around the ownership and funding of the club.
The Regulatory Commission imposed a series of penalties on the other parties involved. First Touch Pro Management was fined £40,000 and issued a warning regarding future conduct. Michael Standing received a six-month suspension from all football-related activities, which has been backdated and considered served, along with a formal reprimand. Swindon Town FC itself was fined £25,000, with £12,500 of that amount suspended for two years. Gareth Barry has been cautioned about his future conduct.
Despite these findings, Lee Power was cleared of all accusations.
The club released a short statement saying “An independent Regulatory Commission has reached a decision with regard to alleged breaches of The FA’s Regulations on Working with Intermediaries involving Swindon Town FC, Lee Power, First Touch Pro Management, Michael Standing and Gareth Barry.
