Work has begun to install a new pedestrian crossing at the Kingsdown Crossroads near the Arkells Brewery which it is understood will take 4-5 weeks to complete.
The work,which will involve a relocation of the kerbing and paving and will see the installation of new pedestrian crossing by Swindon Borough Council.
The footway work will begin next week with the new signals going in over the Easter break.
Whilst the works are being completed temporary traffic signals on all of the approaches to the crossroads will be used with traffic delays in the area expected.
