Keep Swindon Tidy and Plastic Free Swindon are encouraging Swindonians to spend some time this coming Saturday, 2nd January, cleaning up around their local area.
‘Getting outside to keep our town litter free is a great way to get a little bit of exercise and start the new year as we mean to go on’ said a spokesperson for the group.
While Swindon has been put into Tier 3 COVID restrictions, people who feel comfortable doing so can still safely go out in their local area in line with the outdoor meeting restrictions.
A list of community groups taking part are:
- Badbury Park community group
- Central North Swindon parish council
- Central South Swindon parish council
- Green Party
