It wasn’t third time lucky for May’s Brexit deal as once again it’s rejected

On what was supposed to be the day the UK left the EU, the Prime Minister asked MP’s once again to approve ‘part’ of her deal.

As in the two previous votes it was thrown out by 343-286.

It is believed Labour, the DUP, the SNP and some Tory Brexiteers have continued to oppose the deal despite the PM offering to step down.

As MP’s voted Parliament Square was filled with thousands of pro-Brexit protesters waving Union Jack flags, placards and banners.

This third defeat means MP’s will continue to vote on alternative Brexit options on Monday – all of which have previously been rejected.

The government meanwhile are expected to reach out to the EU for a further extension of Article 50.
