Construction work on three corners of the junction between Ferndale Road, Whitehouse Road and St Mary’s Grove to create a four-way pedestrian crossing, has been completed and SBC Highways teams are now working on the fourth corner. While this work is going on, pavement closures and four-way temporary traffic lights will remain in place to keep the public and workforce safe.
Once the pavement construction has been completed on the final corner, new traffic lights will be installed and road markings will be re-laid.
Once the work is complete, the crossroads should have a positive improvement in safety for pedestrians and motorists.
