One of Swindon’s longest-established law firms has relocated its town centre office, marking a new chapter in its history after more than a century serving clients in the town.
Bevirs Law has moved its Swindon-based team from Regent Circus to new premises at Newbridge Square, providing the firm with a modern workspace and room for future expansion.
The firm, which has maintained a presence in Swindon since around 1910 and traces its origins back almost 150 years, says the move is designed to improve collaboration between departments while creating additional capacity for growth.
Located close to the town’s new bus boulevard interchange and within easy walking distance of Swindon railway station, the new office offers improved accessibility for both clients and staff.
The relocation sees Bevirs Law leave its former base at Regent Circus and establish itself in one of the town centre’s most prominent business locations.
The firm’s Swindon office currently employs 14 people across its family care, private client and litigation departments. The company is also actively recruiting for positions within its private client, conveyancing and commercial property teams as it continues to expand.
Partner Claire Webb, who led the relocation project, said the benefits of the move were already becoming apparent.
She said: “Moving from Regent Circus to Newbridge Square marks an exciting new chapter. The new layout is already making a noticeable difference to how our team interact and collaborate on a daily basis.
“Just as importantly, this new space gives us the room to expand.”
She added that the office’s location had also improved accessibility for visitors and employees.
“Being situated right next to the new bus boulevard interchange and closer to the train station also means we are now in a highly accessible, central location that makes travelling to us much easier for our clients and staff alike.”
Founded in the 19th century, Bevirs Law has grown into one of Wiltshire’s best-known independent legal practices. While its headquarters remain in Royal Wootton Bassett, the firm also operates an office in Calne alongside its Swindon presence.
The move comes at a time when Swindon’s town centre continues to evolve, with investment in transport infrastructure and commercial developments aimed at attracting businesses and supporting economic growth.
For Bevirs Law, the relocation represents not only a change of address but also an investment in the future, with the new premises providing the flexibility needed to accommodate a growing workforce and expanding range of legal services.
Feedback from both clients and staff has been positive since the move, according to the firm, which says the new office environment is already helping to strengthen teamwork and communication across its departments.
