Fears for elderly residents as care home company set for administration

Concerns have been raised for 22,000 elderly residents as Four Seasons Health Care call in the administrators.

The company, which has 322 care homes throughout the UK including elderly residents including Kingsmead in Prospect Place and Ladymead in Wroughton insists residents will not be affected by the administration process.

It is understood the care company have entered into a funding agreement to provide it sufficient operational funding to ensure continuity of care for all of the residents and patients during the sales process.

Dr Claire Royston, Group Medical Director of Four Seasons Health Care, commented:

“Today’s news does not change the way we operate or how our homes are run or prompt
any change for residents, families, employees and indeed suppliers. Our priority remains to
deliver consistently good care. It marks the latest stage in the Group’s restructuring process and allows us to move ahead with an orderly, independent sales process.
