Extinction Rebellion supporters have this afternoon held a ‘die-in’ at the Designer Outlet Village in Rodbourne to highlight the risk of the human race becoming extinct as a result of climate change.

After a brief march through the centre, around 25 activists started to fall and lay across the ground to demand drastic action to avert environmental collapse.
Holding flyers stating their three demands:
-
- Tell the truth about the ecological crisis and declare a climate emergency
- Greenhouse gas net zero & halting of biodiversity loss by 2025
- Citizens’ assembly on climate and ecological justice
Extinction Rebellion have promised to continue to hold protests until the government commits to zero greenhouse gas emissions and establishes climate citizens assemblies to oversee the changes.
