The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles has officially opened the new home for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance at Semington, near Melksham.
The Air Ambulance moved to the purpose-built airbase seven months ago and now have the helicopter, operational, fundraising and administrative teams all on one site.
Camilla, who is patron of the charity, was welcomed by the Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Sarah Rose Troughton, and presented with a posy of flowers by four-year-old Semington resident Mia Burry.
Mia was herself treated by the charity’s paramedics at just four weeks old after struggling to breathe.
She was treated for pneumonia and sepsis and made a full recovery.
